I love your definition of "lame".
Replies to your points in a few words:
1/ Us Being lame/acting like kids, etc
I don't know if you have ever played any sport, taken part in any competition, lived anything in any community, or well, if you are a citizen of any country, but "in life", there are rules, kind of everywhere: "Don't smoke here", "Don't wear a hat in church", "Go to school until you are XX years old", "Do not drive over the speed limit". I know it sucks, but any of these rules have to be "respected", and when they are not, well, society is here to make sure people understand they should follow them. "Fairplay" is not owned, it's based on merit. I have always been fairplay in any sports I've played at a competitive level, but yes, I admit, only when my opponent(s) are following the rules. Otherwise, screw them, they just had to take 5 minutes of their dear time to do so. They might next time. To use your (lame/poor/whatever) comparison: It is kids that sometimes do not follow the rules, but heh, it's not their fault, they are kids, so you just remind them about the rules and hope that next time, they will be have learned the lesson.
2/ Timeouts
How can you say here that it is not about principles? One basic way of seeing a common issue forcing a timeout is when a player has a ping of 999. This was not the case here, so I simply asked you what the problem was.
Your reply? "he went to the wc" and "tactical iphone" (or something like that). Your answer on Kingdom was "mouse problem". That's valid, going to the wc is not. I don't give a crap if it was indeed a mouse problem, I trust you and say: "OK, they can use this timeout". PRINCIPLES.
Why do you "have" to tell us the reason?
Well it's implied in the rules, chapter 18. 4. :
The match admin will pause the match whenever a player overflows or crashes. The pause may last no longer than 5 minutes (enough time to reboot and reconnect). The maximum total pause time is 10 minutes per map per team. The server can be paused no more than 5 times for the same player's problem (i.e. repeated lag bursts) during the entire match. After that, the player has to play with his problem or be replaced. Tactical timeouts are not allowed.
--> As it was not a 999, there is no "overflow" or "crash", which are the two reasons why a game can be "paused". Hence the question, which was not agressive in any way, not like yours when Apollo clearly was 999 and you said "Reason?????" (This is called the Netiquette... maybe you can learn about this as well, using multiple question or exclamation marks is agressive).
3/ Ability to use chat
At first, chat was enabled... but you (I mean your team, I would not bother remembering who said what) started whining about the config: "Where is CB config?", which was a nice troll considering we are using CB config.
I have no recollection of anyone in the team saying chat was a "nice addition", but considering that you were crying out loud about the CB config, I just re-execced it (I must admit that we do add this chat-enabled for... well... easier communication, when opponents are not just pains asking for arguments...)
And guess what (well, you should not have to guess it, as you have read the rules), Chat is RESTRICTED TO TEAM CHAT ONLY (waw, by making this sentence all caps, I'm expressing my annoyment at your being such a pain), as mentioned in section 12. 4., including all the mandatory Cvars:
g_gametype 4
timelimit 20
[...] (as you seem to be having a problem with rules and codes, this implies that I have cut out a bit of the rules)
g_allowchat 1
WAW, g_allowchat 1, What a marvel, this is... well... oh no it can't be... it's the cvar controlling the chat and stating that only say_team is allowed. Life is wonderful...
So, to sum up on this chat issue:
We disabled global chat as per your request for "CB Config" (sic...), but yes, we did re-enable chat when it felt appropriate, to, well, you know, be fairplay:
- Ask you for the reason of the timeout (then again without any agression)
- Say "gg" at end of map
So please, calling people "lame" and giving reasons that clearly prove that you are the one being "lame" might not be the best strategy.
4/ Narrow-mindedness VS principles
If asking for rules to be applied is narrow-mindedness rather than principles, I clearly see no point in someone having taken time writing them.
Rules can be looked over, and we have done so with SPA with the exact same server issue. BUT it was totally different :
- SPA talked about it before the time of war
- SPA used sentences to ask if it was possible to play on both servers
--> We told them that according to the rules we could just go on and play on our server, but let them have the choice of playing on both servers, as... well they behaved in a nice fashion.

Oh, and wait, if you feel like these simple rules can be "bypassed" for no reason but your disability to read, why would someone not be allowed to use hacks? After all, he just has not read the rules either. How could he have known it was forbidden.
Anyway, thanks for the game, and good luck for the rest. And no, we do not do this because a/ we want to win the easy way b/ we are scared of losing, no... I will repeat myself, but it is mere principles, something you should not lack so much of, and which seems to make you call us "lame", rather than finding worthwhile arguments.
